Thank you for stopping by and checking out my profile. My name is Vinny Agusta, and I was born January 15th 1986 in Tampa, Florida. I moved to Daytona Beach Florida when I was 13, and started to take up body boarding seriously when I was 16 years old. I love body boarding because it is some thing I can do that takes my mind off all the stuff happening in the world around me. I am a soul surfer, and I love every thing about our sport. I been very fortunate to have made friends with pro riders and owners in our industry. I also have been lucky enough to get a sponsorship with Wave Hound Surf Shop, owned by James Lucas. Also fellow boarders have supported me so much, with out them I don’t know how I would keep my head up. I am very blessed to have so much loyal people backing my every move. I am so stoked about the position I am in, and I will never take it for granted.

My home break is Daytona Beach Florida, and I mostly board down at Main Street Pier. I ride 50% prone, 25% Drop knee, and 25% boogie stand up. I like to have all three styles for my triple threat arsenal, it is a good challenge to try to conquer each style. The biggest wave I have ever caught was 12 feet, and that was during hurricane Dennis in 2005. I also own StokedBoarders.com , which is a site I put together to give out massive amounts of body boarding multimedia for free. I dedicate my personal time to maintaining StokedBoarders.com because this is my way of giving back to the sport that has given me so much. I hope by doing this it will encourage future generations of our sport to do so as well to give back to the community.

I would not be here today with out the support an love from God, my family, my girl friend, my close friends, and Wave Hound Surf Shop. I have had so much encouragement from fellow boarders, and I truly do appreciate it enormously. As body boarders we should always respect each other no matter what. Respect the older boarders, and help out the ones new to our sport. This will help advance our sport even faster if we all work together.

If there is any advice I could give you it would be this. The main thing I have learned is never let any one hold you back or put you down. You need to follow your dreams, and listen to your loved ones and close friends. With that you can do any thing you want, and that’s what keeps me always motivated.
