I'm a web designer so I'm constantly learning and experimenting with new ideas and solutions. Most of my time out of the water is spent online, unless I'm playing guitar or something artistic.

I enjoy nearly all movie genres but prefer action and horror. There hasn't been a scary movie in years though, so I'm kinda over the horror scene. Basically I like any movie with a solid story and good acting. I am a sucker for stupid humor though. There is nothing funnier than a fart and a slap upside the head.

As a musician, I listen to a wide variety of music. Please note that I said "music", not sampling. I am influenced by artists such as Joe Satriani, Acoustic Alchemy, Jack Johnson, Pink Floyd, Metallica, old school rap like Grandmaster Flash, Linkin Park, etc.

I tend to read magazines and books that teach me something. I like using my own imagination, not reading about somebody elses. Books about 9/11, weird science, music theory, computer stuff... I guess I'm a nerd, huh?

I'm smiling whenever there are waves. Of course I love when it's double overhead and perfect, but I'll take 'em anyway I can get em'. Small to huge, junky to glassy... every time in the water is an opportunity to get better.

I can't stand negative people. Especially in the lineup. If you aren't having a good time, shut up and leave. Money grubbing women are fun to look and laugh at, but stay the hell away from me. Gimme a down to earth girl! And eat with your mouth closed for god's sake!

I moved to Maui from the frozen portion of the mainland 2 weeks before the 9/11 attacks. I pursued my dream of self-employment and living in paradise but was soon addicted to bodyboarding. As I progressed, I wanted to never miss a swell so I learned how to forecast... I now run the very successful OMaui.com — the OMaui Surf Report to be exact.

I have several good friends in my hui, but my friend Jonathan is the only one who charges with me when it's big and sketchy. Where is everybody when it's 20 foot on the face at Ho`okipa? Help us represent!
