well, i like big waves alot, big barrols, and big airs and that all i can think of atm
Yeh I hit up perth beachs on sunday, well not really i just went to my usual local reef break, produces lots of nice wedges as seen in my pic~ Anyway the crowd was unusally big about 50-60 people there. I got down put on my fins and my leash and I went out and started paddling, waves was kinda small (average around 2-3m). But the weird thing was about 10 people on the beach with cameras and a girl looking at me. Anyway when I got out past the break zone (about 30m ofshore) a nice set was seen co... Read More
if anyone has been to yallingup they might have been to a spot called toast? a shallow reef break with perfect barrels. holds up on 3 ft and is home to some nasty seals. not all the time. not all locals know where this spot is so you migt have to ask some metro boogers. its next to a great barreling beachie. but there are the surfers who are agressive towards bodyboarders.... Nice day today. A full month went by with absolutely nothing to surf. Today had waist to chest, clean. Some dumping, but a few with nice drops and steepness. Getting covered was possible, but quick close outs were the norm. Grabbed a nice wave with a good wall and cruised. Turned up and hit the lip correctly, off the lip, turn and land. It was my first completed air. The nice thing... this was the first time it all came together, from the drop... Read More
I just felt like writting. Let me know what you think. Please don't steal it though. I really did write this one. Aloha! The Perfect Wave If I never dreamt again I would hope to dream of you, Early morning, beautiful sky, Your heart that beats so true. I would hope to hear With every breath you took A roaring crash, a humble roll The earth in which you shook. I would hope to see Your amazing strength, And to feel Your overwhelming length. An endless ride To the end of t... Read More
Fractured Knee Sprained foot / ankle streched ligament all for the love of dk; unfortunately landed this one on top of a boil. Long road to recovery, many sessions will be missed but looking forward to this summer, in trying to get back then. Will have to lay off the floaters now. What a bad situation, but thankfully bodyboarding is not how I get by financially!... Read More
We went body boarding on our local spot, its 1 of the top beachs in perth, we get alot of non locals (including surfers who drop in on you). The beach has a 4 reefs and the main reef produces alot of wedges. Well we went on sunday and the swell was about 2.6m over the reef. I didnt take the reef because I didnt want to get drilled onto it because of sport the next day. We were right next to the reef and a nice set was coming through. It was to far left to us so we didnt bother but as it cl... Read More
On Friday we had the biggest day of the year so far. Head high with occasional over head. Had some real nice drop ins. Tubes were closing out a lot, though I was able to get into a couple. Steep stuff at first and really fast. Had a great time. This was the first big day with my new No6 Dekcuf so I worked on bottom turns, stalling and accelerating. The board is really great. The bat tail does slip a bit on the bigger and more steep breaks.&nb... Read More
