Left for margs on the 27th of dec and arrived to see not
hing but dribble coming from the ocean and an overcast
day. unfortunately this just so happened to occur for the
next  6 ( yes SIX ) days, so seeing as margaret r
iver is so popular for its wine or alcohol ( seeing as i do
nt drink wine ) we decided to visit some sights and do
some tourist things. 

unfortunately doing this
had made an impact on my budget ( $650 over budget )
because i have a thing for cool looking bottles and ch
ocolate ( they have a chocolate factory there) 

BUT new years came even though i wasnt walking straig
ht that night it came, and thankfully so did teh swell and
the sun, new years day brought some beautiful waves  f
or me and my mates to have some fun on. with some occasiona
l head and a halfes to head high coming through it was a gr
eat few hours but oh did i wish i didnt drink the night bef
ore, i felt like a blow fish continiously blowing air from
my mouth ( dry reaching) but at least it kept teh standups
away.

the next day was sort of the opposite as i man
aged to surf super toobs, now this sounds awesome and belie
ve me i would love to say to some chick " yer i surfed supe
r toobs teh otehr day and yer i got pretty hammered" but im
not that kinda guy, im goig to admit taht not only was i s
tupid enough to get my board from my car but i was also stu
pid enough to wait for 20 minutes whilst out there onl
y to be able to ride a weist high dribble which obviously h
ad no super toob in it.

But in the end who cares, i
could surf 6 foot waves and still have as much fun as i wou
ld on weist high waves, it just depends on how much fun you
r willing to have.
