Getting bodyboard to OZZZZ????
Posted On 06/20/2006 13:42:10 by socalkenpo

Holy crap! What a pain in the ass! Trying to get my body
boards over to Australia so I can ride the surf.  BUT!
!  Don't want to carry them around for the first 10 da
ys (gonna be jumping around all over, no way to take them o
n smaller planes), and can't store them for 13 days! (cost
like 150 bucks!)  It will cost $325.00 bucks to mail t
hem THERE only! And I don't want to rent some cheezy sponge
! So......can anyone recommend a good surfshop in the Gold
Coast??  I'm gonna be renting a car so I can stop anyw
here from Coolangatta to Surfers Paradise if I have to. Scr
ew it, I need another board anyway.  I just need a rec
ommendation. So, anyone from the GC can give me a hand that
would be great. Thanks peeps! Peace...........

not sure if this is the best way, but when i went over ther
e i needed a new board anyway so i bought one. this isn't
exactly supporting the local surf shops...but it ended up b
eing cheapest and easiest for me to get a board from ebodyb
oarding.com (the shipping was like $80 or something, I got
a BZ Platinum 40" older model 2002 i think for $90 cause it
was old). Boards there can be kinda expensive. but hey t
here is probably a more local way. and i only know sydney
bodyboard shops, sorry. good luck!
