    Legends Never Die... Rest in Peace Eddie Solomon


    We lost our friend, brother, hero, and inspiration Eddie Solomon yesterday. He was battling cancer for the past 12 months, going through it all to survive and spend more time with the world he loved.

    On behalf of Bodyboarder, we humbly thank each and everyone of you who supported and helped Eddie throughout his cancer treatments whether it was through prayer or donations. Thanks to you, Eddie had a fighting chance against his rare yet aggressive form of cancer and gave him enough time to experience the birth of his first son and to marry the love of his life.

    TO ALL BODYBOARDERS IN THE NEW JERSEY AREA: Eddie Solomon memorial paddle out at Jenks tomorrow (Sunday, September 18th) at 8am. Please join us is in paying our respects to one of our fallen brother!

      I had the privilege of having dinner with Eddie's parents Alexandria and Edward Sr. at the Montage in Laguna Beach the night before Eddie's passing. They were scheduled to return to Germany on Saturday and received message on Friday morning that they needed to make arrangements to leave for Germany immediately. My wife and I were in from Michigan on vacation to see Eddie and Alexandria after not having seen each other for over thirty years. The Solomon's were gracious enough to have my wife and I stay at their vacation property in Dana Point during this time. I say this because of the power of love. Eddie's impact on the world and everyone who ever knew him either directly or in my case through his parents will never be forgotten. My life has been profoundly impacted by this incredible young man. God Bless his wife, son, brothers and sister, and my dear lifelong friends Alexandria and Edward Solomon Sr.

      I first met Eddie in Cabo 04 and we really got along! so many great nights out and surfs and Partying it was a dream vaction for me! hanging out at the Laguna house after and having drinks with him back in Sydney was ALWAYS a fun time that i will never forget! i'm devistated by his passing cause i always believed that we would still share many good times in the future
