USBA_UPDATED_DAY2_ROSARITO BEACH PRO PRESS RELEASE Nov 12, 2007
The action continued into day two of the Rosarito Beach Pro. The
amateurs opened up the day with great performances from tour leader
Dillon Druz and west coast favorite Taylor Paige. The final took place
in pulsing sets during high tide. The amateur heats were strong and
finished with Taylor Narrolwy beating Dillon Druz (NJ). The
women’s event continued the excitement with world champion Kirra
Llewellyn continuing her dominance and taking home her second win on
the USBA tour in 2007. USBA new comer Marcella Bingham placed second
which has placed her in the top of the USBA rankings for only her
second USBA event to date. The day finished off with the Sling
for the Bling jet ski tow out event and the expression session. The
Mayor of Rosarito Beach made an appearance and both Jeff Hubbard and
the mayor were big winners as both brought home a piece of USBA
history. Jeff was crowned the Rosarito Beach Pro Champion and the mayor
was given an honorary rash vest signed by the world champion himself! We
would like to extend a big thank you to the people and town of Rosarito
Beach and our sponsors Bodyglove Bodyboards, The Rosarito Beach Hotel,

Went to Savii, Aganoa in Samoa for 12 days end of June / July. First day was 3'. 2nd day was 6' to 10'. Its a R/hander but the swell direction was not the right angle. Maybe only got 6 to 10 waves and only made about half of them. The rest of the week was about 6' and surfed a few other spots. Had a great time, nice people and culture. Still life in me yet. But hate to dissapoint everyone but I will buy a fish surf board 2008 6'4" 21 wide and about 3" thick only will use on small days and booger when it gets a bit heavier. Have fun everyone

11/06/07The Bodyglove Bodyboards USBA 2007 National Championship Tour Event # 4: The IB Pro Sponsors: Bodyglove Bodyboards, No Friends Clothing, 662mob.com and the Town of Imperial Beach Amateur Tour Sponsors: Custom X The IB Pro was compiled into two days of action from Amateur upsets and darkhourse Pro efforts abound. The Amateur Division left a very important situation to be decided over the next two USBA events. New Jerseys new USBA prospect Dillon Druz who swept the northeast leg of the tour, was taken out due to poor wave selection in the first round. This left Reis Yanaheiro still in the running for the USBA Amateu Championship. Ries took home the win and a rekindled a motivation to compete for the title. Heading into the Women's Pro Division an on fire former world champ Kira Lyllelyn was surfing better then most of the Men's Pro contestants. In the final she was able to land three ars's and one invert cleanly proving why she is world champion material. Monique Delamore placed second with a great effort narrowly beating the current USBA Champion Roberta Bitzer. The IB Pro's DK division was a whirlwind of upsets and rouge performances. Bobby Kitchart (CA) was on a mission smashing every section that came his way and knocking out current DK USBA Champ Dave Hubbard. Jeff Hubbard was able to sneak by his brother as well and make it to the final where he finished 2nd to Will... Read More

Hey everyone.Im new to this site..But I feel its the best way to get to everyone..Im rayRay from san jose california, but lay my board in santa cruz. Im a big wave rider. the biggest days you ever heard Santa cruz produce. I was in it..but I want to capture mavericks this year..I had no backing last year in hopes to get a Maverick Bodyboarding team this year...I would love to know of anyone that does Tows ins and I would be delighted if the 662 mob would join me for mavericks...Its a crazy Idea but its a dream of mine for the last 6 years..its time to make it happen and conquer mavericks..the cloest I ever been to that magnitude was Steamers on a 25ft day. it was me and two other big wave surfers..I got reckonized from it but the locals still decide to call me sponge.. I have my spot in the line up with the locals so they shut me out on smaller days..But let me have my place on big days...Hope to here from alot of you and if I dont wish me luck.
