Today we went on a scouting expedition to check out some se
cret spots. Figured I'd get to know our own back yard befor
e venturing out to explore the world. Had a few spots on th
e list that we wanted to check. Found em using google earth
. We drove around. The spot that I had high hopes for looke
d a little sketch even though it was beautiful. Did find on
e of the spots and it had an emaculate break. Probably goin
g to try it out some time soon.

I'm back to real life after pending a week and a half cruis
ing as many beaches as possible.did some camping in Pismo a
nd Watsonville. Surfed in Pismo for two days. Paddled out a
t some of my usuals like manresa, lindy, and loggers run. F
ound a new spot on July 4th tho. It was awesome, we drove f
rom Montera all the way down to Big Basin on the 1 and it s
eemed like everything was blown out. The wind ways crazy on
shore and plenty of windsurfers and kitesurfers were out.
The great thing was that the water was a pristine shade of
blue. We decided to head for this little cove south of Pesc
adero but north of the Pigeon Point light house. The waves
were holding shape nicely and were 2-3ft. i think this is t
he new spot for windy-blown out days in norcal.

Today is my last day of work before my vacation. My plan is
to just roll with it and see where I go. My plans to go to
Hawaii kinda got screwed with so I don't know when/if I'm
still going. Things are still on for SLO though. I might al
so go down to LA or SD this week too. Maybe I'll just camp
in Aptos... Whatever happens, I'm going to try to just take
it all in and appreciate it and enjoy every second of it.
I'm also going to really get some meditative time in and fe
el what direction I need to go with my life. Things should
be great. I'm really looking forward to it.

Surfing magazine named 6-21 international surf day. Lots of
beaches around the world are doing semi-organized beach cl
ean ups and surf sessions.

I really need to go to the beach today. Let me know if any
one else is going in NorCal.

Went to Linda Mar today, 2-3 feet, not too much shaping up,
onshore winds, close out everywhere except the far right o
utside. Didn't paddle out. Saw a porpose and a big ass seal
. Watched three surfers try and try again to catch waves an
d not get into any. Drove home. Off to work.

Left Norcal Sunday night and went down south to pick up one
of my sticks my friend borrowed. Spent the night in Downy,
crashed at my friend Andy's hotel room. Free beer. In the
morning I drove to Newport to get my board from my friend M
ike who lives on the beach end of 30th. Chlled there for a
bit and headded up to Huntington for a surf. It was blackba
lled of course so I didn't get to ride my board that I just
picked up. I did have a couple awesome rides on my Manta b
oard though. I bought some new fins while I was down there.
Picked up some Tech2s. Good for DK, but not as much thrust
as my Redleys. Ate at Tommys in Santa Monica and went to s
ome beach south of Venice. It was fun, took a dump a friend
Rodney's apartment near LAX and drove back home to Norcal,
back to the cold-cold water..

Went to Linda Mar today with Chris and it looked choppy, no
t too many people in the water getting good rides and I onl
y had an hour to play. Had to be at work in San Jose at 1:3
0. Decided to forego paddling out. Checked out Rockaway & P
acifica pier, wonder if any one ever paddles out there. Gun
na give it another go tomarrow and hopefully it'll be a cle
aner day. Might just go to Manressa...
