Another day at Pismo Beach.
; When I woke up this morning there was frost on my roof, s
o that will give an idea of how cold it was. I did no
t spot any icebergs but I bet they were out there. Wi
nds were howling around 15-20kts, but were offshore and wer
e holding the waves up very nicely. Tried out my new
board today, custom x izm, I was impressed. It was ve
ry fast and was quite manuverable. Caught some nice w
aves, a few good left handers, got some tricks in. On
ly thing missing at the end of the day were my toes.
Apparently they froze off.
Was down in San Diego over the weekend
and managed to get out at Tamarack before the rain. Y
es it rained in SoCal! It was late afternoon, wind wa
s onshore so it was sort of blown out and choppy, waves wer
e waist high with a shoulder to work on here and there.&nbs
p;Only thing wrong was that there is no shower at Tamarack
so I was able to bring about 10 lbs of sand
back with me. Overall no complaints, was just happy t
o be alive and play in the ocean.

Ok session today at Pismo Beach, CA.&nb
sp; Sets were averaging headhigh but were mostly walled up
and closed out. I was expecting conditions to be a li
ttle better. There was also a bit of a side current s
o it was a bit of a struggle holding your place. Mana
ged to score a few waves though which made it all worth whi
le. It could have been worse; I could have been worki
ng.

Awesome session! Waves wer
e on the small side waist-shoulder high but still fun.
; Refugio is a point break and with the big wnw swells late
ly has been breaking very consistantly. The wave is a
nice right hander that can be riden for awhile.
Crowds were small, few surfers, but no competition for wav
es, good overall vibe. The day left me with a smile o
n my face.
