Yesterday was sooo cold! I took the Kboard and my new MS. I
t was very glassy and cold! Oh yeah, and did I mention it w
as cold? Anyway I was out with two standups and I was switc
hing back and forth between the funboard and the booger. It
was fun. But at 2 hours, my teeth started chattering so ha
rd, I couldn't see the waves coming at me. My hands were so
numb, I couldn't feel the board anymore. Put the boards up
and got dressed. Went to the cafe on the pier and had some
coffee. It was the best cup of coffee I've ever had.
< >BRToday waves were crap, but it was warmer and I saw a man
atee! She was so lovely :)

Damn y'all...the guest list has risen to 70. (*Shit*) What
happened to my litte wedding of 30 people :( We're gonna go
broke

It has been flat here. Sooooooo flat. T
he last time I was in the water was Dec. 26. I'd go up to
W abasso or Ft. Pierce but it's been flat upcoast too. Hell
, if St. Augustine's not gettin' any, no one is in FLA. My
jo b is starting to be less than challenging. Finally getti
ng over that crappy cold. Upside is I'm going up to PA in l
ess than a week to meet the Fockers. But we're going to tak
e a little trip up to the Poconos and do some snowboarding.
Ca n't wait to try that. Also looking forward to knockin'
arou nd Philadelphia, since I've never been. Definately wan
t to go to the art gallery and also see the Liberty Bell. B
ut I really could use some waves.

Dropped my mom
off up in PSL, said bye and headed down to Jensen bch. I ha
ven’t surfed there since the bullshark bumping. I’m a littl
e freaked out by the place ever since, which I know is stup
id. Took the new MS out. I love it :)

Water was cold
even with the wetsuit. Paddling out, I was freaked. Had no
spit. Lol!  Bu
t then, got into the groove and felt fine. Afterward Gerry
was getting all bundled up and I didn’t feel cold once we g
ot out. But now I’ve got a cold so that’s what I get for be
ing a wiseass.  

 

Working on Christmas eve blows hard.
So in typical passive aggressive style, I am totally goofi
ng off, surfing the net, reading, looking at bridesmaid dre
sses (my maids can't agree...pains in the ass). But good ne
ws is I'm getting the MS board for Xmas! How do I know? I peeked of course. And it looks li
ke there is going to be some waveage on Christmas day. So,
I'll try to curb my Bailey's intake tonight, and be good fo
r tomorrow. Happy Holidays y'all :)

at. It was ok…ok, it sucked. But I hadn’t been in the water
for a week so I was wasting away. I really need some wavea
ge, badly (whimper). Drove up coast about an hour yesterday
to surf with a friend of mine I haven’t seen in a while. W
aves were very clean but not sponjable so I left the Manta
on the beach and surfed the Kboard. It was fun. Afterwards, we put the boards up and sat ou
tside at the cafe. Had some wine and caught up. Old surf bu
ddies are the best. The air temp was kind of cool though an
d it was very cloudy. My throat feels a little scratchy tod
ay. But on the plus side, I’m al
most 99.9% sure I’m getting a Mike Stewart Fusion 40" for Christmas! I can’t
wait for Chriiiistmas…I can’t wait for Chriiiiistmas J

Was having a real crappy morning which
put me in a shitty mood for most of the day. End of the day
though, one of my regular kids comes in and just gives me
his old Gravity board. I asked him why he didn't want to tr
y to sell it. He said no, he wanted to give it to me. I was
so blown away. Of course that's one more board in the hous
e (2 surfboards, 5 bodyboards, 3 skateboards) but I couldn'
t say no. It's a gift. Funny but I was thinking about doing
the same thing with my WR. I fixed it pretty good. It was
delaminated badly so I gave it open heart surgery with some
hot glue and a knife. Then I was planning on taking it dow
n to the beach and giving it to some little grom that looks
like he or she would be cool with it. Then this kid comes
in and gives me his old board. Weird how things happen
sometimes.

Sponjed Thur. morning. I love morning sesh's...you feel
so peaced out for the rest of the day. It was fun. Wore my
full suit not so much because it was cold but because the w
ater was lousy with man-o-wars. Figured the suit would prot
ect me and it did. Not so poor Gerry. He got it good on the
foot. I had to peel the little bastard's tentacle off of h
im. Surfed the 7'6 on Friday morning. That was fun. Waves w
ere sort of crappy but it was good to be in the water. Satu
rday was the day. Everyone was calling, "Go to Deerfield" "
Jupiter is the spot" yadda yadda. I had to work, dammit. Oh
well, whatcha gonna do.

Just gorged myself on shrimp in lobster
sauce. The shrimp were too few. We're getting our nice win
ter waves. NW winds and glassy. Hope it's good tomorrow. Tu
es is supposed to be good. Have already switched my Tues sh
ift with someone else so I can get some before work.
