Heard of the album but am not too familiar with the songs on it... I tend to go for the older stuff that comes out on a band as that material tends to be more pure. After awhile when the trends set in and the scene kids show up, a band will change their sound. Gotta watch out for crap like that....
this morning on fox 11 news they showed a clip of the "huge" surf and it was at seal. but what made it even cooler was that they didnt show some pussy ass stand up, they showed some sponger with a yellow board. he didnt really do any thing. he was on a 4ft left and just cruised down the line (didnt even carve) and threw a weak and late el rollo. he wasnt showing his A game.
haha ya the pier was almost knocked over, they closed it, but i didnt see that, i was out there though
If I got the time.... I have found that the older I get the less time I have. Working a 60 hour week kills ya. I just got in about an hour ago... its 8:55 pm now. Sucks....
"Ergo, You Suck" was not directed to you... Ergo is Latin for "therefore." The comment was made towards those in the music industry who change the sound and image every two seconds to keep up with the trends. AFI, for example, although not necessarily bad, had a much more harder punk sound before they began to lean more toward the Emo side of life. Green Day was better before they decided to follow the trend. "Crap! I better put on some eye liner so that the pouty little sad kids in the corner crying about how no one loves them will listen our music."
Did not know they got kicked out of Cal for that... funny stuff. I have always believed that a band's sound sould mature with time but the complete overhaul of what a band is about and their issues? Give me a break.... then they are just following the latest trend. ergo, you suck
Is Green Day over rated or what? Whent they first made it about ten years ago I was willing to listen. They switched their sound a bit and now hit the anti bush crowd. Is this a ploy to make the bucks and follow a political trend?
do you know a guy with one leg? he did live in seal and he BBs, he just moved to san diego. his name was joe and he was sponcered by active. and his face had 3rd degree burns from an accident when he was a kid.
Johnny Cash starting punk? What the hell was your buddy smoking? I guess coming from a strict "breaking the mold" style of music then ya, he was punk... but that has nothing to do with what the punk culture is about. If anything, Johnny Cash is the guy who started what can now be called "country" despite the fact that he was not country. He was more folk than anything else... what made him radical was not what he said in his music as much as his style of how he presented himself.
I listened to Johnny Cash growing up as a kid... tell your friend that he would not know punk from his own butt hole.
