The Perfect Wave

If I never dreamt again

I would hope to dream of you,

Early morning, beautiful sky,

Your heart that beats so true.

I would hope to hear

With every breath you took

A roaring crash, a humble roll

The earth in which you shook.

I would hope to see

Your amazing strength,

And to feel

Your overwhelming length.

An endless ride

To the end of the world,

Hidden in the barrel

As the water around me curled.

That is what I crave,

Only me and me alone

Riding the perfect wave.
