Tell me, someone that knows
Posted On 09/03/2006 02:03:11
It's my ex girlfriends wedding today. I got invited, b
ut have to work on some urgent matters. Anyway, we cam
e to Dubai together, but lost interest pretty soon afterwar
ds. We know each other for about 7 years now and where
best mates before we got together. We still call to s
ee how the other one is doing etc. No hard feelin
gs between us!!!

My question, but first a bit of bac
k ground. In SA we love partying, BBing for the ones on thi
s site and rugby. My XGF is getting married to a Spanish du
de who obviously have a passion for soccer. About a week ba
ck she called me and we spoke for an hour and a half.....an
d a couple of questions from my side let me to understand t
hat they are going to have kids ASAP ( she's 22, he's 30) a
nd that if it's a boy he's going to play, not rugby, but fo
r Barcelona-soccer.

When we where together (for 2 ye
ars) she said that she will get married on 30( concentrate
on career), have kids mid 30's and that the boy's would rep
resent their country playing rugby. No offense, but in SA s
occer gets some bad comments about it being a girls sport..
.Who am I to judge, but that's the general impression.
< >BRSo in a period of over a year, her mind completely chang
ed. This does happen, but there are a lot of girls who chan
ge drastically when their with a new guy. Why is this and d
on't you chica's now it's kinda irritating to be with someo
ne that doesn't have their own personality?
< >BRCould a wise woman or man just tell me WTF is going on??
? or is it some sub concience jealousy...

This morning at 8 o'clock i was at the the traffic court
to face my charges for drinking and driving. Me being in a
n arab country was pretty scared to say the least.

I
've been told that i'm looking at a minimum of 1 month in j
ail and a heavy fine. And also that there is absolutely no
justice system really which means it's completely up to the
judge's feeling towards me and on the given day.

I
pleaded guilty and just made a statment saying that i would
have never been driving if the taxi driver did not refuse
on taking my friends home. 30 odd people where called up an
d pleaded aswell. After everybody was finished the judge an
d his panel left and we had to wait.

A 3 hour stress
ed sweating period went past and a cop called everbody's na
me and gave their senteces. I got called up and thanks to G
od's grace only got a AED 5,000 fine. YEAH!!!! This is like
1,300 US$. I paid the fine and got the hell outa there.

A shout out to all the gals and dudes out there to nev
er take any chances. Don't think it can't happen to you, ca
use I was one of "you". Stay safe and God Bless.

I've got a confession. I'm staring to log in to the site
like 3-4 times a day. Commercial breaks on the TV, a quick
check at work and just before I go to bed. I've only recen
tly joined and it's getting worse.

I guess what I wa
nt to say is this site rocks and there is alot of cool dude
s and gals. Reading all the newbies stoked journals about g
etting pitted and doing that first 360 makes me feel true a
nd stoked for their part. It's great to think back and
remember being a grom and sleep, eat and breath BBing.

I DON'T LIKE BBING, I LOVE IT!!!!!

Tonight a week back I was arrested for drinking a
nd driving. I was taking my friends home after a house part
y because the taxi driver refused to pick them up. Why
? They were drunk. I thought that's why taxi's are there. C
ourtcase on the 09/05/06.
