Showing the movie "Road to Guantanamo" at our school next week... sponsored by our Amnesty International Club. It always good to piss off the establishment.
Well..... there ya go. I have to admit, unless your paper was so frickin amazing that it would make me worship it as if were a god, I would not have read it either.
I'll give a student the benefit of the doubt when they turn in a paper that is over the required page limit but, as I tell my students, it had better be good because I won't waste my time reading a thesis if I cannot figure out what the hell you are writing about.
I'll just assume that your paper was chill but your teacher did not want to spend any more time than she already does grading papers. Its a hard life bro with little time.... so I can see his/her attitude to a point.
the problem is that cheap labor does not have to support our economy. We became a debtor nation when we changed from a producing based economy to a service based economy. This then brought on the increased number of ppl on socialized assistance. I have no problem with giving ppl help, but we forced many ppl into this whole by taking away work in which ppl could earn a living from. The factories move south leaving ppl to work at McDeath to feed their families... The three generations of ppl working at the same factory has been replaced with three generations of ppl being on wealfare. Ya, it can be said that those ppl could get degrees and advance their careers but then what? More ppl fighting to get the few jobs that do exist where one can make a living. Then who is going to pump gas and clean the hotels? Its all a game in the end....
What should I think of it? I am more concerned over the fact that we continue to inslave the third world for cheap ass products that cannot quench our f'ed up desire to have as much shit as we can.
