Tell me, someone that knows
Posted On: 09/03/2006 02:03:11
It's my ex girlfriends wedding today. I got invited, b
ut have to work on some urgent matters. Anyway, we cam
e to Dubai together, but lost interest pretty soon afterwar
ds. We know each other for about 7 years now and where
best mates before we got together. We still call to s
ee how the other one is doing etc. No hard feelin
gs between us!!!

My question, but first a bit of bac
k ground. In SA we love partying, BBing for the ones on thi
s site and rugby. My XGF is getting married to a Spanish du
de who obviously have a passion for soccer. About a week ba
ck she called me and we spoke for an hour and a half.....an
d a couple of questions from my side let me to understand t
hat they are going to have kids ASAP ( she's 22, he's 30) a
nd that if it's a boy he's going to play, not rugby, but fo
r Barcelona-soccer.

When we where together (for 2 ye
ars) she said that she will get married on 30( concentrate
on career), have kids mid 30's and that the boy's would rep
resent their country playing rugby. No offense, but in SA s
occer gets some bad comments about it being a girls sport..
.Who am I to judge, but that's the general impression.
< >BRSo in a period of over a year, her mind completely chang
ed. This does happen, but there are a lot of girls who chan
ge drastically when their with a new guy. Why is this and d
on't you chica's now it's kinda irritating to be with someo
ne that doesn't have their own personality?
< >BRCould a wise woman or man just tell me WTF is going on??
? or is it some sub concience jealousy...

i was gonna travel the world scuba diving and surfing, and
continue my education in the states going to uni there...i
met my bf and went ga ga and moved with him to the gold coa
st in QLD ( before meeting adam i hated the place then all
of a sudden i couldnt wait to move there with him)....its a
mazing how quickly wants and goals can completely flip.....
i guess you just have to ride with it....i think it is a na
tural thing to be a bit jealous of your ex's new found happ
iness....but you never know....she might get tired of her n
ew man and realise that it was you she wanted all along....
!!! girls to that alot too....we are a shallow bunch...lol

it happens -trust me. Not to be mean, but the right guy can make a girl loose her mind, move to different continents, speak another language- at least change her mind about reproducing there family (wich-wild guess, is the mans idea...)

If you asked me a year ago, i would be studying in Norway, and get engaged with my x (after 3 years), live togheter happily ever after. Then i spent half a year on Bali... Now im moving to australia, gonna learn africaan, and be a danceteacher. Everyone changes. Even those you've known for life.
