Boat washed up on my local reef
Posted On: 12/08/2006 07:23:49
Had a funny surf today. Got down to one of the local reefs
to find a massive 105ft long 40ft across Barge ha
d been washed up on the reef and was wedged against the cli
ff. Naturally we went up with our boards and wetties on and
took some photos standing next to this massive boat. Lucki
ly it didn't seem to have spilled any oil or any stuff like
that, but the cliff had collapsed a bit after having a boa
t smack into it. We ended up having a surf as the tide fill
ed in close to this boat which was pretty cool and made for
quite a weird session. Once the tide started filling in th
e boat started moving around quite a bit . Decided to head
in at that point as being run over by a massive ship didn't
seem like much fun.Picture of the boat below this.
