Went out this morning in kind of a so-so mood, just wanted
to get in the water.  Wouldn't you know it though, had
some of my best rides ever.  I even got a little air,
of course I did a face plant on my board when i hit the wa
ter, but what a thrill.  Met a couple of other BBs and
picked up a few tips.  All in all a great day at the
beach.

Very gloomy day today, but thinking about boarding all d
ay.  I am reaching out to the friends I've met here fo
r beach buddies.  Tired of going out alone and hanging
out with surfers.  We'll see!

After a month out of the water I've been boarding every
day for the last week.  After the first couple days go
t back to where I was, timing, position on the board and mo
ving on the wave are good.

My normal spot was flat t
his morning so I decided to go north to Linda Mar and had s
ome nice long rides.  Linda Mar may become my normal s
pot.

My ear is healed and I'm ready to put the wetsuit on, but t
he surf is flat. Seems the way it goes for me lately.

Saw the doc again today about the eardrum.  No change,
but no infection.  Soothed my soul with a stop by Lin
da Mar to watch and learn.  Countdown: 3 weeks till ba
ck in the water.

This eardrum thing really sucks!  I went down to the b
each just to watch and just felt pissed that I could not go
out.  I guess it is just jelousy, hopefully I'll feel
better tomorrow.

Bad, bad, news...while coming in on my last ride yesterday
the corner of my board hit me in the ear and somehow busted
my eardrum.  I'm out of the water for a month at leas
t.  I guess I'll sit on the beach and watch, maybe tak
e pictures, we'll see how it goes.

Had my best rides ever.  Got some real speed going
and able try manuevering on the wave.  I love this spo
rt!!!!  I'll be going out again later today to try som
e more.

Made some progress today.  Got in bigger waves than I'
m used to and didn't get killed!  Had some good rides
and met some new people. All in all I had alot of fun.
